Manager Ron Gardenhire said that the Twins will not choose a closer to replace Joe Nathan when the season starts in a week. Instead they’ll go with a Closer-By-Committee lineup.

Twins closer Joe Nathan played catch on Saturday hoping that he’d be able to pitch this year with a torn UCL in his throwing elbow.
To the surprise of… well, hardly anybody… it didn’t work out.
